The future is looking bright for sportswares, which are on the rise thanks to the rise of social media.
Nowhere is this more evident than in Target, where they are the only sportswearing products available at the retailer.
But while there is still a chance that they could go the way of the shoe and go the whole way, that’s not likely to happen.
“We will never lose the ability to provide customers with sportswatches, but we do want to be part of that conversation.
And our goal is to stay at the forefront of this new trend of digital shopping.
We are the first to recognize that people want to buy things online.
That’s the kind of innovation that Target and many retailers are trying to capitalize on,” said Jason Siegel, senior vice president of global retailing for Target.
But with a few major retailers still offering Nike’s products, it might not be long before there are fewer and fewer of them available at most stores.
